A volunteer is someone who is looking to lend their time to provide non-clinical care for vulnerable people within their local health and social care services.
Anybody aged 18 and over can volunteer.
If you have an active DBS (meaning, you've had a criminal background check in the last 2 years, or you're on the DBS update service), our compliance process will be faster than if you do not.
All volunteers are needed and welcome to join, whether you have a DBS or not.Sign up
How do I get involved?
Once you've signed up to the National Care Force and have passed compliance screening, you'll be able to find opportunities to help on the platform.
For example, volunteers could be asked to help with shopping, driving, child care, cooking or laundry.
This will support care services and ease the strain caused by extra users and staffing gaps during coronavirus.
